I was able to spend time with my family members and friends who organize and celebrate Kwanzaa in Greensboro. Seven Principles are celebrated, one on each day: Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (working together), Ujamaa (supporting each other), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity), Imani (faith, especially faith in ourselves).
During this time comes reflection on the past year. In 2014 I hope to have better balance between art and commerce, feeding my creative vision and participating in more community service projects.
