<diversionary tactics>
I am noticing this new trend in comic book art to have the characters look very cartoony with big azz feet. I first saw it in Impulse and Battle Chasers, Suicide Squad and now Superman has the big cartoony feet. The art’s very clean there…but something about it takes away from the serious tone. yes, I realize I’m talking about comic books.
I am really diggin Friendly’s art. it’s not attractive at all but it makes the characters seem a little more rough around the edges. a little more real…can’t explain it. equal credit goes to Grant Morrison as well…who expected to see Charles Xavier bustin caps in the super villian when all else fails?
