  1. I know. Can you believe that they killed Stringer (it was so much fun hating him)? Tangent: What type of name is Stringer Bell anyway? I read this online interview that the creator of the show gave and the question was posed, “How do you kill off the main characters so easily and the characters that people love?”. His response was along the lines of “The Wire is not a show that one character can dominate. This is not a show about good winning out over evil or vice versa. We are dealing with a much bigger issue here…” (mind you, that was me paraphrasing).

  2. His Gov’t name was Russell Bell, you know how everyone in the crew had nicknames.

    He was very forgetful and always tied a string around his finger to remind himself about something. and I just made that up.

    Omar and Mouzone need their own show. A situation comedy where they’re roomates. Omar would be the wacky one, Mouzone would be the straight man – no pun intended.

  3. I just noticed that you added me to your Blog Love list that is so sweet! You are the first person to do that! If we haven’t already bonded over our love of “The Wire”, we have definitely just bonded over this. LOL. That was very sweet of you.

    BTW,I don’t know how I missed that Stringer’s govt name is Russell. I don’t know. But still what the hell is a stringer?!?! (and no, I am not buying your crazy, albeit pretty darn funny, explanation). Ciao.

  5. I was never one to like Stringer Bell. He repulsed me which is why I grinned from ear to ear when Omar slugged him. Hell…the cops (my favorite folks on the show btw) couldn’t catch up with him, so I’m glad that Omar did. He had it coming eventually. If Omar didn’t get him, then Avon probably would’ve turned on him. I wonder how this will affect the wire?

    I’m sure that they’re will be a Season 4.
