I am forcing myself off of my diet of Television. Going hardcore (for me) by turning in my DVR Box today. I need to read more, write more and save money while I’m at it. I’d thought about doing this a while ago, but every time, something would come up, like today was Katie Couric’s last day, I was like maybe I’ll DVR that. but stuff I DVR I NEVER get around to watching and channels I have I never use. I’m going to try the ultra-stripped down version plus HBO. It was like ripping off a bandaid.
Then I get to work and see our video producer’s 250 GB Hard drive/DV/DVD recorder Suh-weet.
update: it is finished, the deed is done and behind me in line was a certain skinny black man.
You’re brave! I gave up my cable about two years ago… This was mostly because I was broke. I can’t say I really miss it, though. Good luck!

I’m trying to get my t.v. watching to 5 hours a week – haven’t been brave enough to remove the cable though.

Yeah, who watches TV in the summer anyway??? That was my who fear with DVR…I doubt I would ever take the time out to watch what I recorded.
