This morning, I caught the tail end of this presentation on CSPAN2 –The Heritage Foundation on “Reclaiming Our Destiny: The New Black Vanguard Conference, where Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson was talking about after became Born Again, he became a Republican, because if you’re a real Christian, there’s no way you vote Democrat, in response to a WSSU student’s question (timestamp: 2:37:22). Peterson authored Scam : How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America. Joseph Phillips was also on the panel and gave an impassioned response.
On the Washington Journal, (timestamp: 2:44:30) Rev. Peterson says he doesn’t have an Afro, he has and Amerifro, African Drums don’t beat in his chest, but the American guitar does…and it wasn’t a racial problem in New Orleans, it was a lack of character problem.
I saw peterson on Washington Journal this morning. To say the least, he was/is an embarrassment. I think he would actually turn in runaway slaves from a brutal slave owner for a pat on the head. He seems to say (over and over again) that Black Demacrats are dumb and stupid and Black republicans are smart and have been set free. He is bad news. People need to hear this man speak.
