What plenet is Texas on? I read the Chicago Tribune article linked there…and noticed this bit:
“There was the 19-year-old white man, convicted last July of criminally negligent homicide for killing a 54-year-old black woman and her 3-year-old grandson with his truck, who was sentenced in Paris to probation and required to send an annual Christmas card to the victims’ family.”
Sorry….why would the family WANT to recieve a card from him every year? Merry Christmas, from the guy who destroyed your family.
I know it might be part of victim healing thing, but I can’t see what a Christmas card would do other than be a painful reminder.
This is crazy, heartbreaking, and inspite of this racism god is good and I know he will make away so black peolpe lets pull together as you can see racism is all around us hidden behind nice suits, big office desks, co worker, church folks, partners, wake up.
