This week I hit the streets, determined to get out of my comfort zone and enter into the realm of street photography. I am returning to my Flickr era days of capturing the world through my eye. Feeding my passion. If you’re familiar with Elm, you may recognize elements, but through my lens.
The first set of people I approached, known for passionately sharing the religious beliefs on Elm St., turned me down. I kept at it. I finally did get someone to stop and pose, and in exchange I gave him a card. The art of approaching strangers, chatting them up while getting your settings together requires practice. I got some selfies in while learning my new camera.
