i was preparing to do a load of clothes yesterday and the word “abominable” popped into my mind. i don’t know why. what ever happened to that word? no one ever uses it any more and if they do, it’s only in conjunction with “snowman”, thanks to Looney Tunes.
The other form of that word, abomination, is limited to Sunday morning sermons.
1 : worthy of or causing disgust or hatred : DETESTABLE my abdominal region is abominable.
2 : quite disagreeable or unpleasant
I know one person though who uses a lot of words…and may even use both of these regularly.
