I think this issue with the GI who passed, his email account and his family is a non issue, it should not be in the news like it is. it’s akin to organ donation. if he wanted y’all to have access he’d have given you the password. There’s a privacy issue between the people he’s corresponding with to consider, they have a right to privacy and this would set a bad precedent. They (the family) shouldn’t need to know what the contents of those emails are if it wasn’t addressed to them. now if they request any recipients to forward emails to them and they comply that’s another matter. their arguments about wanting his words to hold on to as a memory doesn’t wash with me.
