Christopher Wallace, better known to the world as Biggie Smalls was murdered March 9, 1997. I remember being in Sonic at the drive-in on a Sunday morning, listening to 102 Jamz when the morning DJ cut in to announce the news. I sat there in disbelief, the same emotion I had months earlier driving by Springhouse Apartments when I heard that Tupac also met a similar fate. The thought that people could die over beef started by lyrics seemed ludicrous to me.
