I rented Clerks and Mallrats to catch up on the View Askew timeline since I saw Chasing Amy and Dogma. Clerks got all this buzz when it came out. If I saw it in 94 I might have a different opinion, but the acting was really really really bad. And the script made it more obvious that thay were just spouting lines back and forth. But you do with what you have and I guess you have to start somewhere.

There was a funny scene that preceeded and touched on Clinton’s definition of sex.

Kevin Smith gave Spike Lee and a few others props for leading the way in the credits.

I also rented Caveman’s Valentine, directed by Kasi Lemmons (sp) who did Eve’s Bayou. Starring Sam Jackson. I wanted to see it on the big screen but it was only in theaters for a minute.
