HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) – Julia Roberts’ bribe worked. After reportedly paying her boyfriend’s wife $500,000, the divorce has finally come through and the couple is free to marry.
Danny Moder’s divorce from Vera Steimberg, who’ve been married for four years, became final, paving the way for the Oscar-winning actress to walk down the aisle with the cameraman beau she met on the set of “Ocean’s Eleven.”
Since the beginning of the couple’s relationship, Roberts reportedly offered Steimberg money at least twice in the hopes of convincing her to speed up divorce proceedings. Vera, a make-up artist, held on because, sources say, she believed her marriage to Molder was still salvageable.
In the settlement Steimberg gets to keep their Woodland Hills home in California, their two dogs and, of course, the half million by Roberts.
