We ended up doing a Derek Luke/Salli Richardson double feature on Friday as they were both in Antoine Fisher and Biker Boyz. Denzel and company really worked overtime on jerking them tears. I was nudging J for her crying when the big climactic scene got me out of left field (look for the girls on the steps with crayon drawings – that was the cruicial pivitol dam-buster for me). I guess because I have some similar paternal yearnings as the title character and really related. yeah, that’s it.

Dang there were a lot of people in Biker Boyz I lost count. there were more familiar black actors in that movie than in Roots. I read it shot in 40 days. Larry was kinda swole up in this one…
