“There’s nothing fair about who lives or who dies”, ‘specially if you’re a minority.

– spoilers galore –

I couldn’t care less about who survived more in a movie after the Hispanic guy was shaken off Richard Dreyfus’ leg in a cruel sacrifice (Six Feet Under’s Rico, who for the second time in a year has died on a cruise ship), and then later his friend drowned. Her cross which was used to get them out of a jam and returned to her corpse (Thanks for your religion! Seeya!) And Kevin Dillon”s annoying two-dimensional leisure suit “Lucky Larry” character was only put in to suffer an excessively brutal demise. Boo! but Black Eye Peas’ Fergie was offed too, so…

but bottom line, the scale of death was so grand and sweeping, that the wellbeing of a handful of people who knew an inordinate amount of knowledge of the inner workings of ocean vessels and physics didn’t matter much to me.
