i really like these three cuts, and will play them until I get sick of them. the rest of the album is aight. I’d recommend it, but it sends such a strong anti-college message. tight beats. occasional clever rhymes.
That comes to mind because my coworker got it for her high-school-aged kid who’s been begging for it since Through The Wire’s been getting airplay. (with this peergroup, Kanye’s in now, and Outkast is out because of their Grammy recognition) I notice a lot of the material is about dropping out of college, his car accident and not getting signed. now that he’s past that (one hopes) , one wonder’s what’s next.
