the media got me scared that my pipes are going to burst from the cold snap tonight, but not scared enough to actually do anything about it. specially since it just happened to C. Rent-a-man doesn’t do pipes. or as I have renamed my proposed damsel-in-distress service, Borrow-a-Brotha. I see the new thing is some styrofoam thing you put on your faucet. A little faucet skully. something burrowed a hole down beneath the flowerbeds. i guess it’ll be on again with me and the Gopher in the spring. how can insects survive? nights like to night I think yes! all of the summertime pest larve will die forever! but they keep coming back.
And ya better be scared of those pipes…ain’t nuthin like having your own personal skating rink in your garage in the middle of January…and despite rumors, it is NOT a cheap form of entertainment…Borrow-a-brother needs to add “winter maintenance” to the list of services..you’d make a killing…truly..a bottle of calcium chloride and a twist of a faucet, you’d be in business!
last night i thought about doing laundry, but the cold water pipes to the washing machine was frozen. now this morning we only have cold water, the hot water pipe’s frozen. go figure
