Less than 2 months after paying off the ride:

At lunch my car failed to shift out of park even though it had no problem started. after L keenly consulted my user’s manual, we figured out a Fred Sanford method to get the car into Neutral and then start it and get it into gear.

The other keen fact was that my worn key could be removed wile the engine kept running.

At the dealership, it was revealed a $9 part (that needs to be ordered) would cost $100 to install. I got me a new key cut while I was there. They can just make you a new key using your Vin #. how cool is that?

In the meantime they showed me how to get the thing in gear by removing the top of the gear box thing and flicking a lever.
