i found a new Smoothie shop and comic book shop right across from each other and near home…this was a serious comic book shop…I always wonder what type of business i would start up if I had enough loot…they had a lof of stuff and all of the issues were bagged and boarded, no thumbing thru. 🙁 but they had so many figurines…oh man, busts, action figures, mini pieces, the whole 9. I am not a true collector, my stuff would not be in mint condition for long…they really had some nice figures…in another time and place I would have room for them. There one of the employees was telling about his glory days as a wrestler as the others listened on intently, I was looking for Mr. Glass up in there.
comic books got expensive! I bought the miniseries about the WW2 era Black Captain America.
That’s the thing I hate about collecting, you don’t get to play with the stuff.
You’re right. Comics have gotten expensive. I HAD been collecting comics since I was a kid. Like clock work. I’d get anywhere from 8 to 15 (sometimes 20) new comics every month for over 15 years. I have several thousand (I think). I later convinced myself that times had changed and comics weren’t like they used to be. They weren’t worth the rising cost. I’ve been comic clean and sober now for a couple of years now. I just started sniffing around the new comic book section at Borders Bookstore… I will not fall off the wagon.
