I asked J to make me a list of support/cushioned shoes since I’ve been getting shin splints something terrible (yeah yeah stretch i know) so i went w/ my list in hand. i couldn’t shake the Salesperson, since you need them to go in the back to tell you what size they don’t have. I picked the Asics GT-2090, but they were a bit snug – “Nike and Asics tend to size small,” said Salesperson.
So, for the first time in my life, I’m toting a pair of size 14s
Is this the male version of the old Size 10 dress being new Size 8?
Check out your feet too. Sometimes shin splints come from flat feet – which I discovered from my dancing roommate can happen with age because sometimes your arches get weak. She uses inexpensive arch supports when exercising. In addition, we’re doing some ballet foot moves to strengthen our feet.
I also had the people at Running Room check out my run and they recommended a great pair of shoes.
Now you tell me! I had a not nice surprise when exercising (oh, the shame) last time.
My PT recommended new shoes, so that is where I am going now.
