mista lava man, stephen!

dug up the flowers that died at the first frost. We’re (I’m) not going to be able to commit that level of maintenance in the future. we’re sticking to shrubs. Got Lava Rocks for mulch now. yes, lava rocks, out with the Cedar wood chips. So far I have gotten 15 bags and inhaled quite a bit of Lava Rock dust. i don’t know what the long term side effects are on this but in the short term it makes you thirsty. very thirsty.

then we went to one of those heavily advertised sales that offer the bait and switch 70% off but you have to pay to get in…since they were advertising golf equipment i was interested. I almost changed my mind about going. it’s a glorified flea market basically. mad knockoffs, dvds that were rewrapped and repriced, and electronics for people who really wanted to take a chance. But the Oasis in the desert of bargains was the little golf area. I got a sand wedge for $10 and a 7 Wood for $20. I thought I was replacing a sand wedge I lost, but in reality I never had one. We got the wife a full set of ladies clubs and bag for $100. Too early to tell if they’ll be used. There were abstract framed and matted prints by aa gockel at this other booth that were amazingly priced and our regret was we ran out of walls to put stuff. but we got 2 for the wall going upstairs.

i am still thirsty.
