I am beginning to seriously wonder if Bell South is using flirting as a sales tactic. When i established my phone services in January, the sales associate was extremely friendly and flirtatious, giving me her work number and trying to sell me all of their services. When I balked at the offer, eh, not so friendly, cold, even.
This week I called to cancel my service. after being on hold for 15 minutes mindlessly chewing the flavor out of my Eclipse gum, a Bell South customer service representative comes on the line. I tell her what I need done.
“What you cookin?”, she inquires.
Mentally i wondered if i was smacking the piece of gum loud enough in her ear to make her think i was consuming a meal on the phone.
“Scuze me?” I ask. Still not sure what she meant. What is that slang for? Anything but the obvious I am sure.
“What’s for dinner?”
AW, HECK NAW!
I still couldn’t believe she was asking me these questions from her job, in that position. And furthermore, for all she knew if I was interested, how would i call her back?
Now if only you could have gotten a name, I might coulda have hooked you up. You should hear them when performing tech support FOR them. 😉
reminds me of a time when i used 1800 collect to make a call and operator told me I sounded good..hahaha..
