I read DC Comic’s Countdown to Infinite Crisis this past summer and thought it was a good story that hinted at much more to come but I didn’t want to invest the time or resources in keeping up with every tie-in story.
I did pick up an issue of Infinite Crisis and it looks pretty chaotic. I haven’t been following all that led up to it, but it looks like they’re undoing the continuity housecleaning from the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Wikipedia’s going a great job of keeping me current now, as well as having great archival content.
